Gainesville sets Oct. 27 workshop on NW 22nd Street safety improvements
The city will hold a free public workshop next Tuesday evening at Carolyn Beatrice Parker Elementary School library and will take emailed feedback on potential changes along the corridor.

What to know
The City of Gainesville will hold a free public workshop Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Carolyn Beatrice Parker Elementary School library, 1912 NW Fifth Ave. The meeting is about potential safety improvements on NW 22nd Street between NW Eighth Avenue and NW 16th Avenue.
Why it matters
The city says residents and other corridor users will help shape next steps and design priorities. People who cannot attend can still send feedback by email.
The workshop fits into Gainesville’s broader Vision Zero effort. The city says that policy was adopted in 2018 with a goal of eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2040.
